Project New Hope Inc. holds a series of weekend-long retreats in relaxed wilderness settings, with workshops and activities for veterans and their families and are looking for volunteers to provide Reflexology at this year’s retreats.  Practitioners receive a $100 Visa card as gratuity.

 

MAR Member Dawn Skoglund describes her volunteer experience with the Project New Hope Veterans Retreats:

 

“I thought I would share some info with you about my experience at the retreats. It has been a wonderful experience. I have been the only Reflexologist at the retreat. Typically at the retreats there are Reiki practitioners, massage therapists, cranio-sacral therapists, yoga instructors, and acupuncturists. We arrive around 12:00-12:30and set up.  They provide lunch for us and introduce us and our modality to the retreat participants. After lunch the retreat participants sign up for services and then we provide our services. Everyone has been so appreciative and enjoyed their experience. We wrap up around 5:30p.m. or so and then we are invited to have dinner with everyone. While the retreats are held in Groton, attendees come from all over MA and surrounding states.”
