Board of Directors

The Massachusetts Association of Reflexology's Board of Directors are elected by members to serve a two-year term. They are unpaid volunteers.

Lucy Collins
Treasurer

Lucy CollinsMs. Collins received her certification in Reflexology from The New England Institute of Reflexology and Universal Studies in Wareham, Massachusetts in 2002. She previously served with the Reflexology Association of America's Board of Directors as Treasurer and assisted in one of their national conferences.

 

 

Kathleen Melvin
Secretary

June KrugerKathleen (Kate) Melvin practices in Lexington, MA. Originally trained and certified in the Ingham Method through the International Institute of Reflexology, she has also studied and practiced the Father Joseph Method; Bill Flocco's Hand and Ear Reflexology; Aeurvedic Reflexology; Korean Hand Therapy; and Dr. Martine Faure-Alderson's Cranial Sacral Reflexology, Levels 1, 2, and 3.  Reflexology is her sole (!) modality. She has recently joined with others in the healing arts in her building to found the collaborative, Awareness Rising.  Kate is currently the Recording Secretary for MAR.  

 


Advisory Board

Marilyn Alling
Past Vice President

Ms. Alling received her certification in Reflexology in November, 2005 from the Universal School for Reflexology in Wakefield, Rhode Island. She is the sole proprietor of Sole Serenity Reflexology in Upton, Massachusetts. Alling graduated from Augustana College with a BA in Biology and a postgraduate degree in Medical Technology. She is currently pursuing her degree in Naturopathy from Clayton College of Natural Health.

Dot DeCesare
Past Administrative Secretary

Ms. DeCesare studied Reflexology in Hudson, NH prior to becoming certified in Bolton, MA. She has a private practice in Methuen where she teaches small classes focused on healing work.

Dorinda Dustin
Past Director

Ms. Dustin received her certification in Reflexology from the Palmer Institute of Massage and Bodywork in Salem, Massachusetts. She has a practice in Arlington. Dustin is Nationally Board Certified through the American Reflexology Certification Board.

Laura Aho Jodry

Amy Kreydin
Past President

Amy KreydinMs. Kreydin received her certification in Reflexology in June, 2004 from the Palmer Institute of Reflexology in Salem, Massachusetts. Kreydin is the owner of The Barefoot Dragonfly, her private practice in Stoneham, Massachusetts and also teaches continuing education and introduction classes at various venues. She is Nationally Board Certified through the American Reflexology Certification Board. Kreydin is a part-time webmaster and freelance writer. Kreydin served on the Board of Directors from October 2005 to July 2009, she has been on committees since 2004.

June Kruger
Past Secretary

June KrugerJune Kruger received a certificate for completion of reflexology studies at the Baystate Academy of Holistic Health in 2003.  In 2004  she received certification from the American Reflexology Certification Board.  She has a private practice in Framingham, Massachusetts.  In addition to her practice, she gives presentations,  provides small group instruction, and offers services to local senior centers.

Norma Paskiewicz
Past Treasurer

Ms. Paskiewicz received her certification in Reflexology in August 2003 from Bay State Academy a former school in Massachusetts. Paskiewicz is the owner of A Peaceful Journey, her private practice in N. Billerica, Mass. Paskiewicz received her BS degree in Business Administration from Grand Valley State University in Michigan. She is Nationally Board Certified through the American Reflexology Certification Board. Paskiewicz is also a yoga teacher and a flower essence practitioner.

Donna Pivero
Past Vice President

Donna PiveroMs. Pivero received her certification in Reflexology from the Omega Institute in Rhinebeck, NY and from the Laura Norman School of Reflexology in Manhattan, NY. Pivero has a private practice in Pittsfield, Massachusetts and also teaches at the Mildred Elley School of Careers. She is Nationally Board Certified through the American Reflexology Certification Board. Pivero has been serving on the Education Committee with MAR.

Susanne Whitney
Past Vice President

June KrugerMs. Whitney received her certification in Reflexology from the Pioneer Valley Reflexology Center in Greenfield, Massachusetts in March 2004.  She became Nationally Board Certified through the American Reflexology Certification Board in October 2008. Susanne is the owner of The Reflexology Center for Natural Wellness in Greenfield, Massachusetts and teaches an Introduction to Reflexology class to nurses.  Susanne is on the Nomination and Elections Committee with MAR. Susanne was elected to Reflexology Association of America Board of Directors 2008.
